Some Fall Advice With Your Pumpkin Spice

It is that time of the year once again. Turn in your flip flops and swimsuits, because the leaves are changing and the temperatures are dropping. We have a few tips for you and your family, so that you can stay safe and enjoy the beautiful autumn weather this year.

1. Exercise candle caution

We know you are all excited to break out your pumpkin vanilla candles as the temperature drops. Make sure you never leave candles burning if you are leaving your home or going to sleep.

P.S. Do not overdue it with the candle scents either – you know who you are.

2. Be aware of poor visibility

Falling leaves, along with the rain and fog that comes with this season, can often effect visibility while driving. The later sunrise also presents challenges for morning commuters. To help with this, drive slower, used dimmed headlights, or have sunglasses readily available. If visibility is really bad, pull over until you are comfortable.

3. Watch out for children while driving

Children love jumping in the leaves and trick-or-treating at this time. School is back in session, so kids will be piling off of the school bus. Be aware of kids crossing the street or playing on the sidewalk.

4. Be cautious of wet pavement while driving

Rain is more common during autumn across the country. With this, it is important to maintain a safe distance between you and the car in front of you. As the temperatures continue to drop, there will be more ice on the road, therefore exercise extra caution.
