Distracted Driving is not only texting and driving but it can be anything that causes you to take your eyes off the road. Car accidents while driving distracted is becoming more common than car accidents while intoxicated. Avoiding certain distractions while driving is easy! Do not be the person to drive distracted and use these tips to help prevent it.
- Do not smoke while driving. You most likely will concentrate more on smoking and not burning yourself instead of driving safely.

- Avoid constantly adjusting the radio or CD player while driving unless you stop. Also, remember to lower the radio or turn it off while driving to a new location when you use GPS to guide you. It is important that you are able to hear the direction because looking at the map even for a brief second puts you at risk.
- Limit your conversations with passengers and ask them to keep their voices down so you can concentrate solely on driving. Have important conversations at home and not in the car.
- Finally, you know yourself best! If you know that something will distract you while driving use your own judgement to prevent these distractions.
Be a SAFE DRIVER not a Distracted one! Drive safely and keep your eyes on the road!
