Distracted Driving: Outside People or Events

Image result for avoid distracted driving

The third leading cause of distracted driving accidents is distraction from outside people, objects or events. If there is an accident on the other side of the road, or fire trucks speeding past, make sure you remain concentrated on the road and drivers in front of you.

Avoid getting stuck in a line of rubberneckers, and stay focused so that you do not hit the cars in front of you or to the sides of your car. If other drivers or pedestrians are distracting you, keep your eyes forward on the road.
