Being conscious of the kind of content you are publishing on your social media accounts is incredibly important. Whether you are a student, someone looking for a job, a professional, anyone...there are some details you should never share with the public.
1.Your Traveling Details
Telling the internet where you are going on vacation, when you are leaving and how long you will be away is basically telling someone to come and break into your house. Wait until you are home to share any pictures or details of your trip.
2. Your Current Location
Just as it can be dangerous to share you vacation destinations, letting everyone know where you are can be an invitation for someone to either break into your home or violate your personal space.
3. Photos & Videos of Other People Without Their Permission
Never take or share photos or videos of friends or family without their permission. Everyone has the right to choose if they want their photo to be taken or shared.
4. Pictures of Your Credit Cards, Personal Documents or Identification Numbers
Believe it or not...this happens! Don't make it this easy for hackers or thieves. Protect your personal information and keep it off of social media.
5. Complaints About Other People, Your Job or Your Boss
Never post information that could damage the reputation of another person or put your job at risk. Your employer could find your comments and question your employment status with the company.
6. Inappropriate Pictures
Posting photos or videos from your night out could harm you if you are looking for a job or currently work for a conservative company. What you post on the internet stays forever, so don't post anything that you will regret or that could get you fired.
Always think twice before posting comments, pictures and videos.
